From left to right. My cousin George Martin is on far left, Lt Cmdr Harrison, I do not know name of the short lad. I am next with head next to life bouy. Unfortunately I can not remember any of the others, (though one face 3rd from the right is familiar) maybe some one else will. I remember having more photos but where are they are? This one was in a local paper, I think.

I've been watching the site for a photo of my late brother Rod Vinall, who was in the Sea Cadets. Looks like this is it - I believe he's the 3rd from right, and would have been 15 or 16 at that time. I've tried and failed to remember their nickname for Cmdr Harrison - as I remember they had a lot of respect for him. Is there any way to obtain a copy of the photo? Val

Hi Val, yes that certainly looks like Rod. What a character !!!

The gentleman on the right (in a suit) is Vice Admiral Sir Gilbert Stephenson, a founder of the Sea Cadet movement.
