This month’s picture shows a photograph of one of the dances held in Newhaven during the 1930’s, probably around 1935. The venue could be the Drill Hall in Fort Rise, or possibly the Sheffield Hotel. Who are the people in the picture (the men are wearing badges on their lapels), and what was the event? Does anybody have any photographs of other dances held in the town, if so we would love to hear from you.
