These two photos date somewhere between 1947 and 1950 I think. Apart from me, those I remember and can name are Tony Smith, John Saunders, Ann Townsend, Norma Stone, Billy Still and Priscilla Beale.  by Mike Britchfield.

Is that Miss Thompson the teacher on the left in the top picture?

Ha ha, Me and Les Templeman in the same orange box. Think thats Alec Boxall at the back. Anyone remember who was the signal man?  Is that John Saunders next to the teacher.

I have a framed copy of this photo at home given to me by my mother.  We made all the train and carriages with the help of the teachers and this photo was taken on its first journey. I am the boy in charge of the signal and I think it was probably taken in 1948 as I look about 5 and as my dad [Taffy Carter ] worked on the railway at that time the railway hat I am wearing is probably his. I can remember we sat on the brace and bit to drill holes for the screws that held it together. I cannot remember or recognise anyone else, but I guess some are in the photo of the football team from 1953 which I put on the site recently.
