It may well be the Crisp Shield, the final match was played at the Dripping Pan in Lewes. I wonder where this trophy is now? and do you have any connection with this shield ?

I seem to remember that the junior school football teams in the Lewes area competing for this Trophy annually, with the final always played in Lewes at the Pells or Dripping Pan, with Meeching Junior doing quite well over the years !

I think that the boy holding the ball is my brother-in-law Ian Walton.

John you are correct. I played for the Pells Junior school football team, 1964-68 and we played many times for this trophy, which we called the Crisp Shield, reaching 2 consecutive semis in 66 & 67, only to lose both, before finally reaching the final, against Annecy RC school from Seaford, played at Newhaven FC football ground, which to us was like Wembley. Champions, champions. I recall many tight matches over those years played against Meeching, Telscombe, and Annecy school football teams. Fantastic days, fabulous memories. I just wish more photos were around to view from those times.

Yes I wonder where the trophy is now? As Nick points out we won the shield in 1968 for Lewes Pells. Great memories!
