Above Parsons was 'Jean Cantells' (Fuller) Studio Tempo Dance School.
What's Senlac? I live near Hastings now and Senlac field is where the Battle of Hastings took place.
Senlac, in this case is a British cross channel car ferry that operated the Newhaven-Dieppe route. It was threatened with withdrawal in the early 80's. The crew occupied the vessel and the 'SOS' or Save Our Senlac campaign began. The crew won the day, unlike King Harold, who died on the field after which the vessel was named.

Great to see a picture of Parsons the greengrocers - shame it had to go as it had plenty of character. I used to work there on Saturdays as a 14/15 year old, and had some good times, although I didn't earn much!
