MEECHING TUG CREW 1985

Four photos taken by Graeme Honeyball in 1985.  Graeme worked on the dredger "TESTSIDE"; these photographs show three members of the Meeching tug crew, not sure whats going on, but it looks like they were all enjoying their time aboard the tug.

Was Charles Hutchings the engineer on the "Meeching" in the 80's?

Hello Mr Bishop my name is Heidi Watkins, daughter of the late John Watkins (R707328 MN.)

Chief Engineer Charlie Hutchings of Peachaven took over from Chief Engineer Bob Patterson in 1993 - 1994 until the decommission on the 22nd Jan 2000. Charlie was a 1st class Engineer. As far as I know he is doing Deep Sea on survey ships. If you look at 'Ports and Harbour', then 'Meeching Tug Memories' on this site and you will see Charlie's pic's.

I have to make a correction to my last comment about Chief Engineer Charlie Hutchins (Meeching).
Having not seen him for 6 years, I met up with him today, the 16th September 08, at Newhaven Fort. His start date on the Meeching was 1990 until its decommission in 2000. It was good to see Charlie, as he and my dad, the late John Watkins, were very good friends, and I am pleased to say that Charlie is still sailing the high sea's under the "Red Duster".  He is a true Merchant Navy gentlman.

Can anybody confirm that John Voakes served on Meeching at about this time?
