Ah that bridge...I worked at HR Electrics just by it and often gazed at the bridge and the people walking to and fro, mostly from the radio corporation works. I remember occasionally swans would try and land at low tide when the mud was wet and reflected the sun, the swans would sometimes fly straight into the bridge, dazzled by the light. Valerie Singleton once stood outside the factory by the bridge, she was preparing a programme concerning a barge moored nearby owned by Richard Stilgoe of BBC fame. They had to dub out the dialogue we provided from the factory.....
