PIDDINGHOE CHURCH

St Johns. 12th Century

By Reigna Mitchell

The Church, which is on a mound, was built in the 12th Century and has a round tower. (There is a similar one at Southease). The towers may be of this design because it is easier to build a circular structure when using flint.
