From left to right, we start with the French car ferry Valencay at the ramp. Next is Elma Lines' Jujuy II, an 'SD14' type cargo ship that's unusually laden with containers - not sure if any of these were offloaded at Newhaven as we didn't have the big container crane back then. Finally, there's one of the Blue Star Lines' regular Newhaven visitors, Rockhampton Star.

Rockhampton Star is looking rather worse for wear here, unusual, as they were graceful looking ships that were almost always immaculate in appearance.

So, only three vessels in this 'full house' photo, but the size of Jujuy II and Rockhampton Star left very little room at the East Quay!
