In the photo with the Switchit van you can see how wooded Denton was, they must be about where Rookery Way is now. The woods were our playground when we moved into Acacia Road in the mid 50s, they went almost as far as the Hatchery before all the building started.

Looking at these again I can see John Avis in photo 4 with the Bow and Arrow, he is in number 3 as well. This would have been just before we moved into Denton.
