FALAISE AT MARINE WORKSHOPS - Part 1

Opportunity for an off-duty visit - 1970

By Stephen Morris

During 1970 when I was experimenting with my first camera, a Voigtlander vito B, I had the opportunity to make a visit to the Falaise during her winter lay-up.

This was kindly arranged through Chris Fox who lived in Lewes Road and who knew who to ask at the workshops!

I have some interior pictures for another time.

Many thanks for sharing these fascinating pictures of Falaise.  As one who sailed on her and was lucky enough to visit the bridge during the crossing the photos brought back a host of memories.  I look forward to seeing your interior views.
