George R. Holder worked for British Rail in Newhaven and was one of the quayside crane drivers during the 1960s and 70s unloading cargo from ships in the harbour.

Marriage of Lillian Holder

11th April 1942

Lillian Holder Born 17th April 1922 Married Charles Allen

at St Mary's Church in Tarring Neville.

Lillian moved to Lewes and lived with her husband's parents while 

he served abroad with the Royal Engineers 410 unit, during WW2.

Lillian still lives in Lewes at the age of 98.
