MITCHELL BOAT BUILDERS

Mitchell 28ft clinker boat

By Ray Whilding

I'm looking for more info on my boat, a Mitchell 28ft, clinker built in the 1940s -1950s. Stamped on the head is (n) 7.83 tonnes (Newhaven). I have rebuilt the top so it might not have looked like that originally? It has a D series engine - probably not original as it's older than the boat.

Any help would be appreciated, and I would like to know if anyone else has one that's the same.

Nice looking boat - typically Mitchell. Can anyone help with more information?
