Does anyone know what was on the wasteland behind the eastpark area, which extends from the Drove road behind B & Q right down to sewage works on Beach road - East quay. Old photos show some large lumps or bumps, when I walked there it looked like it might have been built on at sometime.

I have looked at old OS Maps 1898 - 1950's. Cannot identify anything which might answer your question. Any chance you might put the photos on here?

Was reading with interest land by the Drove. My sisters and l used to play in this field a long time ago, when we were children living in Eastside, it was full of pyramid type concrete structures which my Father told me were anti tank systems during the war. l understand there was a query on the message board but for some reason cannot reply direct to this, apologies
