SAND SWAN - The End

Awaiting breaking at Leith, Scotland.

By Neil Fuller

I sailed as Second Mate on Sand Swan in 1987 and she was the only ship I ever worked on that visited my home town of Newhaven. Sad to see her arrive in Leith, Scotland where I now work as a pilot to be broken up at Dales Marine.

Great pictures Neil many thanks for sharing them.  John - Editor

Neil, you may remember an old mate of mine Greg Watts.  He was a Chief Officer on the Swift during the mid to late 80's

Sad end to and old Newhaven regular. Many's the time I've watched her or her sisters going to or from the North Quay - and probably moaned about being held up by the bridge opening!
