What a difference a couple of days makes,an hour with a mower and back in use by locals,great to see a young lady with her friends for photos,the way it was.Thanks.

Who did the mowing Celia?

I think it's a shame this area has been allowed to grow wild - supposedly in the name of nature - as it used to be an area where young children could picknick or kick a ball around with their parents.
Considering we have vast areas of green space all around us it seems to me the real reason the grass isn't cut as it used to be is probably financial.
If you look at most areas that have ponds, they are very well manicured and far more attractive than this area. Quite honestly I think the current state of Valley Ponds make it look like some run down estate.
Just my opinion.

It's still nicer than it was in the 60's. I played around there as a kid and it was like a swamp before the houses were built.
