DOWN TO THE SANDY BEACH C1965

Photos taken in 1965

A fine summers day in 1965. The sun is shining, so "Mum can we go to the sand beach please?" On the way the ferry passed us going down river on it's way over to Dieppe.

When we did get down to the beach there wasn't much room left on the sands for us and we had to be careful that the waves from the ferry going out didn't catch us out and swamp our beach towels.

Unfortunately the sight of the sands thronged with people is just a memory now in 2008, another cause to say "Those were the good old days!!"
