BEACH HOSPITAL AT TIDEMILLS

Offshoot from Chailey Heritage

By Richard Beckett

This was where some physically disabled boys from Chailey Heritage were treated. Fresh Air and Sea Bathing were the order of the day and the boy's beds were placed on the verandah facing the sea to get their daily dose of the sea air.

My late husband's mother Peggy Ellis (nee Hayward) worked as a nurse at the Tidemills Hospital for children - not sure of the dates.
