This site was called Meeching Court Farm owned by my Godfather Lewis Bowles and his wife. Adjacent on the south hill Downland caravan site

My father Peter Holdstock lived at Meeching Court Farm in a caravan.  I think he lived there during the 1960s to 1970s.  As I understand it, he had to live elsewhere for 2 months each year as the park was closed.

Amazing to find this page...I spent a family holiday here in July 1956 which was cut short by very strong gales and storm which blew over our little caravan which went by the ironic name of Sunny Patch!
