DROVE PARK
10 January 2009, Frozen Lake

Our daily walk took us through Drove Park at lunchtime today, 10th January. We've seen the lake gradually icing over during the past few days, but today there was hardly any open water left. Just enough for one swan, with the other sitting on the ice. The ducks had all scarpered, with no water to swim in, and even the bread that people had thrown in was frozen solid.
Room for one!
