Jean Cantell's Dancing Pupils of 1965 - do you recognise any one. I'm the fourth from the left front row.

The one in the middle with arms outstretched is Tina Ashdown - now my wife. She recalls the dance was about princesses that used to go dancing every night and wore the slippers out - the king could not understand why. Whoever could solve the puzzle could marry one of his daughters.

I think my sister was in this group, Judith Spiers.

I was also one of the Princesses and I remember dancing at the Downs Hospital on more than one occasion. My mum, Doreen Taylor, worked at the hospital as a nurse in the 1960's.
