Brighton and the Beach

A summers day down at Newhaven's sandy beach in 1962, the Brighton leaves for Dieppe and many people are enjoying this unique enclosed sandy area. The next photograph is from the summer of 1995, and shows almost identical pastimes, my favourite memory was the building of gigantic mounds of sand against the wall near the double steps, and then waiting for the incoming tide to slowly destroy my two hours of hard work.
