My brother was the scorer (Paul Cooper) - he was 17 then, he is now 58 and still involved with cricket!!! His mate was Ray Wells, brother of the the Wells brothers who played for Sussex
This was quite a good team at the time, good batting line up, good bowling, fielding not so hot, enjoyable times though.
I went to school with Derek Driver, worked with John Hills and played against Ray Wells, for Battle CC. We had some feisty encounters with Newhaven. Both teams had some very competitive players. Sadly I did not play against John or Derek, not joining Battle until 1987.
