I lived in Beach Road in the late 50's for 20 years! I remember 'Amy' stores & P.O. very well! I don't miss the outside loo & bath in the scullery. I remember falling in the river in the Rec when I was 3........so many memories.

I have old photos of players in Newhaven Football club, including my father, 1945 onwards. I might not be able to make it Saturday during those times. Is there any other way I can get them to you?

If you email the website with your query at enquiries@ournewhaven.org.uk we will try to help you-Editors

Didn't Amy's stores become Faulkners in later years? I Remember there was a man there with a pencil moustache who entertained people with a display of illuminated Indian clubs. There was a lady who lived close by who rode a bicycle with a Parrot on her shoulder. Does anyone remember her?
