I guess that this would have been at the time of the Rodmell Church Garden Fete at the Rectory. The leader is ? Bulman, but I have forgotten his christian name.
Great picture of Band Major Lawrence Bullman leading the band (Lawrence,has lived in America for many years now where he was a boatbuilder in Florida) and again the late Leonard Lipscombe with his side drum nearest the parked cars. My brother Graham Young was a bugler and is further back in the group (Graham, has lived in Dubai for many years now) in this local rural street location. Interesting to note where life has taken these former cadets over the intervening years!
Sadly Lawrence Bullman passed away shortly after you added this Chris.
