I am not Newhaven born & bred but I am proud to be able to say that my ancestors were.  Thanks to my hero Peter Bailey and his fine bunch of colleagues working hard at the Museum I have been inspired to learn about the town, its people and its history.   My photo shows a detail of the stopper of one of the Towner Bros beer bottles from my collection.  It dates from around 1900 and depicts the old toll bridge which was adopted by the brewery as their brand or trade mark.

Hello Reg,     Still alive, almost 90 years, diminishing vision .  Grandma a sister of Walter.   Hoping the  Newhaven museum will survive .  The unstinting dedication of Peter Bailey and others  in my thoughts. Kind regards, Norman.
