Oops! The postcard people have wrongly identified the passenger steamer top left in the bottom card. It's not Londres, but Lisieux. They did get the Arromanches correct - not easy to spot the difference between her and the Londres. Anyone ever heard the sandy west side beach described as the 'bathing sands'? Sounds terribly posh for Newhaven!
Can you imagine if they did a postcard of Newhaven now? It would just be the incinerator, KFC and a fight in town on a Saturday night !
