EXCAVATING AUGUSTFIELDS

This collection of photos was taken from the top of the steps at the end of the garages at Elm Court in August 1988. They show the earthworks during the early construction of Augustfields. Forever gone were the cornfields.

I will try to make this into a panoramic view and add a link to the final image in due course. - Andy, Editor.

What is the large detached house in the first two pictures amongst the trees ?

Its a private house Rob, which the builders had to leave access to through the trees.  John -- Editor

I believe the house in the photo was owned by a Mr and Mrs Janney (not sure about the spelling of the name). I played with their daughter but cannot remember her name.
