ARMY TRANSIT CAMP WW2

Officer's Billets

By Wendy

I live at 24 Station Road, which was built in September 1937, originally called "Decoy" but soon after changed "Windover".  It was built by the man who lived in the bungalow up the hill, no 26.

I am very interested in the life of this house, or rather, it's occupants, especially during WW2.  I have been told it was used as officer billets.  Does anyone have any info or pics or anything really, at all, about the house or it's inhabitants?
