Newhaven Town Council recently installed a series of 8 historical interpretation boards in key locations around the west of Newhaven.  As a part of their Newhaven Uncovered project, the boards give residents and visitors alike fascinating snapshots of the town’s past.  The boards compliment a self-guided walk the Council produced in 2010 which, together with a town guide and map, were delivered free to every resident in Newhaven.  Some of the images and memories have been taken from 'ournewhaven' website.

I wish these would be renewed in Newhaven High street etc, they are an amazing source of local history and so interesting, but looking very shabby now and some are missing.
