The following picture was taken at the Dripping Pan Lewes in 1955, Schools from the surrounding area would have competed here, the pupil running on the bend is my mother Joan Ladd who attended Hillcrest School.

OMG I remember those days! I was in the Ringmer team in '55 but 1 or 2 years later we moved and I was picked for the Newhaven team, but I went & sat with my old friends in the Ringmer stand until it was time to run lol.
