This ship, together with her other two sisters (Nantes & Brest) were very modest cargo ships for this service.

I remember watching them being loaded with cars, although only a few, on each crossing at the Southernmost berth location, where you used to be able to walk along the Eastern Breakwater. This was before the 'gap' was created to give greater width in narrows.

When comparing with todays tonnage they look quite quaint!
