That's a collection of cars! A Morris Minor Van and Vauxhall Cresta (with fins!) heading away and a Ford Cortina Mk1 estate at the right. But what's the car with the twin headlights?

A great photo that brings back a lot of memories of what Newhaven was like at that time and just look at all those wonderful cars from the era. Very nostalgic, thanks Laurie for posting.

The car with the twin headlights looks like a 1959 Ford Galaxie. The Morris 1000 van has an interesting number plate CLB I wondered if it was one of Bannisters Builders vans, we had a number of them. Mr Bannisters initials were CLB. Great image of the Fire Station, shame it doesn't look like that now.

Looks like I have been found out I like old cars especially old American sixties cars. I took that little collection in 1964-1965 the car with the double headlights is a Ford Galaxie which was a rare sight in this country. I thought it was a interesting photo with the Fire Station in the background, thank you Laurie for posting it on the site.

Morris van on the left is possibly a Post Office van as that is where the post office was. Theres a locking bar across the back door typical of the post office vans. Nice picture.
