No, that's not me third from left and I don't know who that is. The sad thing is that Tony, Bob and Keith, in the front row, are no longer with us .

The goalkeeper was Trevor Godden and the captain was John Ballard. I was a student living in London when I played for Newhaven. The club agreed to pay me £2 a match towards my train fare on match days and I used to collect it from Don Lander at the end of every match.
