LONDON AND PARIS HOTEL MANAGER

Hello.

 My name is John Pike, and I am looking for anybody of today who would have connections or knowledge of the Stedman family from the days of the London & Paris Hotel in Newhaven Sussex England.

John Stedman was the Hotel manager in 1881 along with his wife Elizabeth Stedman nee Copps.

Does anyone have any information however small from this time era please? Kind Regards. John.

My grandmother Isabella Sarah Medhurst worked at the hotel as a chambermaid. She met my grandad Dennis Michael Lynch while she was working there. I think he worked on the trains. In the early 60s my mum and dad took over the Harbour Tavern and the cellar of the pub was the old stables of the hotel. The pub itself was the old staff quarters of the hotel.
