The Perth (renamed from The Almeria Star in 1984) unloading on the East Quay, looking like she could do with a lick of paint.
Taken by Simon Morris
The small tug is the Tiderip - ex TID120 ( built 1944), owned by Dave Miller's Subsearch Ltd. He bought her in 1973 and it's believed he kept her until the 1990s when she was finally broken up.
As for Perth, she looked better on her visits as Almeria Star. Although she nominally changed owners several times between 1976 and 1996, it looks like the connection to Blue Star Line remained, in fact she became Almeria Star again a year or two after this photo was taken. Finally scrapped in India as Ice Bell in 2009.
