Interesting picture from 1950 with the large gasometer, below it to the right, is the Engineer Pub and the old Gas House can be seen to the left of the pub.

The low buildings to top left are the Parker Pen factory.

[The steamer moored alongside is the Worthing of 1928, which ran on the route until 1955. Andy.]
