HARBOUR AND BEACH VIEWS

1960s

By Maureen Boynton (Saunders)

In this collection of photos given to Our Newhaven by Maureen Boynton, we see a varied slice of life at the sandy beach and in the harbour. Hard to pin an exact date on these but the powerboat race and the vessels seen in the harbour views suggest late 1960s.

Does anyone recall the dates of the offshore powerboat races that ran from Newhaven?
