These are some pictures taken from the corner of Saxon Road and Meeching Rise shortly after South Way was opened
The first photo shows the old annexe to the school. I went there at some time in the Nineteen Fifties. The teacher was a Mr Nixon.
I remember Mr Nixon very well. We called him Bean Head, because he was round like a bean. Aren't kids wicked?
