EXCALIBUR AND STARS

A night-time view of the jack-up barge at the West Beach

By Andy Gilbert

After reading a photo magazine article about taking photos of stars, I thought I'd give it a go. Not as easy as the magazine makes out, especially with a fresh breeze blowing.

I did get one sharp(ish) shot of some stars, taken over the Breakwater, that luckily captured a meteor, but then I turned my attention to the jack-up barge "Excalibur", that's moored (or should I say planted) on the Eastern end of the sandy beach.

I managed to get a few nice shots, including this one of her, along with some stars, the West Pier green lights and the lights of Seaford in the distance.
