My father was born in Newhaven he had two brothers, one lived on the Lewes Road, he had three children, Paul, Tony and Annette(sadly passed away). Our grandmother lived on Fort Road but previously lived on South Lane her name was Mary Cornford also known as Dolly. Her sons names were, Albert, Harold and Harry. We didn’t know our grandfather but would like to trace any living Relatives On his side. My grandmother who worked as a Laundress probably in the late 1890s never married but we think the surname Mitchell was mentioned.
