On the 3rd map it shows a lot of railway sidings under the cliff where the amusement arcade would later be sited. Were these sidings just for the construction of the breakwater or did they serve some other purpose? And any idea of the date of the map shown in pictures 1 & 2 ?

Just noticed your question Rob. The clue to date is in the fact Stricklands Granary is on the plan so it must be after 1901 and the extension to the south end of London & Paris Hotel has not been completed which was carried out c1906, so this plan must have been drawn up between 1901 and 1906.
