Denton Island

The houses of Sefton Terrace have now all gone. Fludes Carpets occupies the site with Catts Cottages to the left. The steamer idling her days away is the Hopper 'Trident', which was built to lay the foundations of the breakwater from 1879 - 1880's. This photo c. 1930s. (Peter Bailey M.B.E)
