This scene is reminiscent of flooding back in the 1990's when, after laying a new cricket pitch, it was ruined by the salt water turning the grass brown (Once it had died off!). It was later returfed. However, the bowling green was dowsed with gallons of fresh water to  thoroughly wash the salt contamination out, possibly due to the cumberland type grass on this green . The first picture shows the old berthing masters office (Cresta Marine) before demolition, and the second picture gives a glimse of the T.S Falaise, the first ro/ro ferry c1960's.
