The shot of the whaler was taken at Shoreham's Aldrington Basin during the Zone Boathandling Competition in September 1959.
Group A. Possibly the crew in the Shoreham photo. Back row: John Piddlesden and two whose names I just can't dredge up at the moment! Front row: Dave Carter, Mike Britchfield and John Owen.
Group B. This includes the crew in Group A and is probably the Boathandling and Pulling crews after a successful regatta. Additions in the back row include John Sweatman, Paul Simmons and Chris Bourne and A. N. Other on John's right.
